I really enjoyed the Matrix. Unfortunately I had to discredit it completely after watching the pathetic sequels. Perhaps Warner Bros. were forced to release them because they had stumbled upon the truth in the original; what better way to make the public doubt the Matrix’s credibility? I have a few issues with the world and am happy to except an alternate explanation; I guess that’s really what the Matrix offers. People are happy to accept some insane ideas about the complex make-up of the universe and I don’t think enough people are questioning them. We are taught that the world is round; however, I’ve travelled extensively and have seen no real indication of it. From a first person point of view the world looks flat. We are informed that the sun is a gigantic ball of gas burning millions of kilometres away. It clearly emits heat, but is it really that big, or that far away? We are told that the entire universe is made up of tiny hollow particles. I don’t even want to get started on the issues I have with atoms. People are happy to discredit each other’s opinions when it comes to movies and politics but for some reason take everything else as gospel; except gospel, that's starting to come into question.
