After a little thought I put together a story about everyone being a figment of their own imagination – I almost blew my own mind writing it. When I went to post it the Internet was really slow and I sat there looking at a blank screen for about 15 minutes. I’d already saved the story so there was no real loss; however, it brought more important things to light. I was quite annoyed at the speed of the Internet and began contemplating possible technical issues. Essentially I came to realise that the Internet is easily the most amazing thing that has ever existed, and, although it plays an important part in every aspect of my life, I have absolutely no idea how it works – none. How do tiny bits of information travel through, a, thin lengths of electrical wire, and b, the air. It also proves that the concrete and wood used to construct the houses we live in are not solid objects at all; a video of some guy playing the Mario theme song on two guitars at the same time can pass through them without obstruction. Although, if you're facing technical difficulties, it feels like the tiny morsels of information are trying to squeeze their way through the gaps in the window fittings or space under the door.
