I won’t be surprised if someone dressed in a lab coat stops me in the street and explains that the last two years of my life have been a social experiment. If they were to tell me that everyone involved in my direct society were testing to see if an unattractive trend could influence through weight of numbers, I would breathe a sigh of relief.
