_I locked myself in my girlfriend’s bedroom the other day. It was ok because she was there to keep me company; also, her mum was going to be home any minute and she would definitely help us out. I knew it would be fine but I wasn’t enjoying the situation; I was too thirsty. I’m not talking slightly parched; I mean absolute dehydration. I considered sucking the ink out of a pen just to get some moisture in my mouth. My girlfriend didn’t think it would be such a good idea. I don’t think she wanted me pulling her pen apart – it was a very nice pen. She suggested I drink the water out of the snow globe. I picked the snow globe up and shook it; it was beautiful the way the snow gently floated down onto the tiny house. “Is that water in there?” I asked. “Yeah,” she replied, “what did you think it was?” I didn’t know what I’d thought it was. I drank the water and it actually wasn’t too bad; it made me wonder though: if I didn’t know that snow globes were full of water, what else didn’t I know?
