Children’s entertainment is far more experimental than the adult counterpart. Kids are taken to exotic worlds and introduced to bizarre characters. Sure we have zombies and nudity, but we’re usually left with an uneventful love story or predictable car chase. For some reason we present our children with a limitless world of imagination, only to bring it all crashing down as they get older. It must be a devastating transition too. You spend years watching animals voice their opinions in books and movies like the Lion King, Charlotte’s Web and the Three Little Pigs, then, when you try and strike up a conversation with your neighbour’s dog it gives you peanuts.
