I mentioned something to my wife about the positive impact of global warming on solar energy – I thought it might be an interesting debate to strike up with some energy conscious hippies. She assured me that increased global temperatures will not always result in more effective solar energy, and, that many parts of the globe would actually see a reduction in solar energy efficiency. Apparently, whether the solar plant uses photovoltaic panels or concentrated solar power is a major factor; although, regardless, the plant should be located within thirty degrees of the equator. It was an interesting response to say the least – I really learnt a lot. Unfortunately her educated spill really fucked up my idea for a story.
