Today I had to buy lunch from a snack bar down the road. Their food isn’t all that good and the service is absolutely shocking; its proximity to a number of busy worksites, however, provides a steady flow of customers. There was a group of ten year-old children seated on the table and chairs out the front. They were having an intense discussion about the varieties of confectionary they could purchase with the few coins they had at their disposal. The whole scene really brought me back to my youth – the amount of joy I used to get from a handful of jelly babies was unbelievable. It really made me question my current diet. Finally I was at a stage in my life where I could eat whatever I wanted, whenever I wanted. I was living my childhood dream. I decided to lunch on nothing but chocolate bars and Coca-Cola. I went home from work about twenty minutes later. I hadn’t felt that sick in years.
